Russell Sharp - Home Manager of Montrose of Watford

Meet the Manager

“Since joining B&M Care in April 2024 as Home Manager at Montrose Care Home, I have been committed to delivering excellent person-centred care and fostering a positive culture where both residents and employees can thrive. Having worked for my previous health and social care provider for 25 years in various roles, B&M Care caught my attention with its values and ethos, aligning perfectly with my passion for continuous learning and development.

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I continue my own personal and professional growth while holding a Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care qualification. This allows me to share my knowledge and experience with others, empowering them to make informed decisions.”

Engagement and Wellbeing

Here at Montrose Care Home in Watford, engagement and wellbeing is at the heart of our person-centred approach to care. Our dedicated Engagement Leads organise varied social calendars for events and entertainment, in groups and individually. Every resident experiences meaningful occupation, designed around their personal wishes and preferences.

‘Creative’ is the perfect word to describe our Engagement Team at Montrose – a home that has its own art gallery filled with artwork that the residents have made. Learning continues here, with music lessons and new skills taught frequently. Residents enjoy singing, dancing, reminiscing, or just a simple trip out to the pub for lunch.

Every resident, in each B&M home, also has access to The Hideaway – a cosy countryside retreat with extensive grounds, and on-site Reminiscence Museum.
