Eme Cameron - Home Manager in St Lauras in Kings Langley

Meet the Manager

“I started my career within the care sector at the age of just 19. I have undertaken almost every role within a home – from Domestic and Kitchen Assistant, to Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant and Engagement Lead. Through doing so, this has cultivated my storied success, as well as my appointment to Home Manager at St Lauras Care Home in Kings Langley. From this, and as I tell all of my staff, there are no limits to progression: from responsibility and personal development, to training and further education – I empower the people around me to be the very best that they can be, regardless of their age, health or confidence. And by doing so, they in-turn deliver the exceptional care that the home continues to pride itself on.

At St Lauras, the highest standards of care, kindness, compassion, empathy, and person-centred values are at the heart of all we do. With open arms we welcome you to join our ever-growing family.”

Engagement and Wellbeing

Recognising that an individual should lead a fulfilling lifestyle and enjoy the occupations that are unique to them, person-centred engagement is at the heart of our day-to-day care practice.

Here at St Lauras Care Home, we value and promote each resident’s wellbeing, independence and quality of life. Our Engagement Leads organise a variety of events and entertainment, with both individual and group activities available. We often have live musical performances, as well as themed dinner nights where residents can experience food and culture from around the world.

Every resident, in each B&M home, also has access to The Hideaway – a cosy countryside retreat with extensive grounds, and on-site Reminiscence Museum.
