About The Radley

The Radley is a purpose-built care home located on the old MGM-British Studios site in Borehamwood. The home is within easy reach of local amenities, as well as Elstree’s BBC Television Studios.

The Radley offers the following types of care for an older person: 24-hour long-term residential & specialist dementia care, as well as respite & convalescence care.

As B&M Care continues to navigate through the complexities laid out by the Covid-19 pandemic, the group would like to reassure you that the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and residents remains paramount.

Our Infection Control Assurance is a commitment to minimising the risk of Covid-19 to our existing residents and staff, whilst safely welcoming new admissions into our homes.

From PPE and regular testing, to routine cleaning and dedicated visiting areas, these standards reflect our Covid-19 Response and guidelines set out by the Government.

These procedures are in place to meet and exceed the requirements of those considering a B&M Care Home for a loved one.

Our Staff

The Radley has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“With almost three decades of care experience, my career within the sector has seen me fulfil varying roles – each of which have cultivated my storied success and decision to join B&M Care. Starting at St Andrews in 2016 as a Deputy Manager, my most recent appointment was as Home Manager at The Radley in 2018; a role that has simultaneously challenged and developed my skillset. CQC Engagement & Support Report

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is not routinely inspecting services during the COVID-19 pandemic. CQC is maintaining contact with providers through exisiting monitoring arrangements and engagement and support calls covering four assessment areas:

  • Safe Care and Treatment
  • Staffing arrangements
  • Protection from Abuse
  • Assurance Process, Monitoring and Risk Management
