Our Staff

St Matthews has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“I started my B&M Care journey at Tara’s Retreat in 2007 as a Care Assistant. With the support of the management team, coupled with my genuine passion for delivering the highest standard of person-centred care that I can, I received several promotions, including my most recent one to Home Manager at St Matthews in 2020. Throughout my career at B&M Care, I have successfully achieved a number of qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care; Infection Control Champion programme; and the company’s in-house Management Development Pathway.”
Lynette Parker - Home Manager
“Following many years working under a number of different care providers, I joined St Matthews in 2008 as Deputy Manager – an opportunity that has continued to stimulate learning throughout my career. In addition to my experience, I have acquired such qualification as an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care, as well as successfully completing Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘Tomorrow is Another Day’ dementia-specific training programme.”
Margo McKeown - Deputy Manager
“At the time I applied for an Assistant Manager opportunity at St Matthews I was a Deputy Manager at another care provider – a move that has allowed me to better develop my skillset and genuine passion for improving an individual’s overall wellness. My experience is complimented by a roster of qualifications, including a City & Guilds Level 3 Standard in Health & Social Care, and most recently, a PTTS Training Certificate.”
