  • "I want to thank you very much for the time I had with my Mother this afternoon. It meant so much to Mum and myself. She was crying initially because she hadn't seen me for some time, but seeing photographs and videos of her family, particularly her great-grandchildren, cheered her up enormously. The visit also gave Mum the opportunity to share some memories she had when she was very young. It was so special - I will treasure the visit forever."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "To all the wonderful staff at St Matthews, thank you so much for looking after my Daddy and all the other residents during such difficult and scary times. Your kindness, dedication and hard work has kept our loved ones safe when we couldn't. I know that my Daddy, myself, the residents and their families will be forever thankful for everything you have done. You are all heroes."

Our Staff

St Matthews Care Home has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“I started my career within the care sector as a Care Assistant within a similar care provider as B&M Care. Having developed a genuine passion for delivering highly-personalised care for individuals that have more complex care needs, I moved into a position with a provider that specialised in supported younger people living with learning disabilities. After recognising that I wanted to go back to caring for older people, my career at B&M Care began in 2016 when I was appointed the role of Assistant Manager Clare Lodge, and then to Home Manager in 2017. My role at St Matthews started in August 2021.”
Jessica Callum - Home Manager
