Our Staff

St Leonards has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“Having previously worked at Bury Lodge and Ryeview Manor, my most recent appointment was in 2019 as Home Manager of St Leonards. My experience and education has very much focused on dementia care practice; a philosophy that falls in line with B&M Care’s over-arching person-centred ethos.”
Martin Sharp - Home Manager
“My journey at B&M Care started in 2006 when I accepted the opportunity as a Senior Care Assistant at St Leonards. With the support of the Home Manager, I was promoted to Team Leader in the same year – and then to Deputy Manager in 2008. I have acquired a number of qualifications, including an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care.”
Isobel Jeffery - Deputy Manager
“I joined St Leonards in 2015 as a Senior Care Assistant, and after showing assertion and a genuine passion for dementia care, I was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2018. Throughout my career at B&M Care, I have achieved a number of qualifications, including an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, as well as successfully completing the Alzheimer’s Society ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ training programme.”
Kathleen Gilroy - Assistant Manager
