Vaccinations & Infection Control

As B&M Care continues to navigate through the complexities laid out by the Covid-19 pandemic, the group would like to reassure you that the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and residents remains paramount.

Our Infection Control Assurance is a commitment to minimising the risk of Covid-19 to our existing residents and staff, whilst safely welcoming new admissions into our homes.

In addition to PPE, regular testing and safe admissions, B&M Care has now successfully completed the first phase of the group's vaccination rollout.

These procedures are in place to meet and exceed the requirements of those considering a B&M Care Home for a loved one.

  • "Having just walked along Kings Langley High Street today, [I] saw the huge effort you have made to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.  A big thank you. Since opening, you’ve made a real effort to make St Lauras a part of the village community."

    Local Resident

  • "The hardest thing in my life was sharing my Mum with a care home, and then we visited St Lauras. I can’t put into words how loving and genuine the staff are, how beautiful the home and grounds are and how at home my family feel when we visit. I visited at least 12 care homes in and around the area, and there is no doubt in my mind, St Lauras is a league of its own."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at St Lauras for making my 70th birthday so very special. You managed for me to see my beloved husband and I am so very grateful. You do amazing work!"

    Wife of Resident

  • "We watched the home being built – and it looks fantastic. And having spoken with a number of the builders on-site, I can’t believe the facilities that will be on offer. Really looking forward to having a look inside."

Our Staff

St Lauras has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“Since joining B&M Care in 1998 and Ashlyns in 2000, I have strived to develop myself, my staff and my home in line with the company’s person-centred philosophy to deliver a standard of care that is highly regarded both in and around Berkhamsted. Over the years, B&M Care has encouraged me to undertake relevant training and education to further support my role as Home Manager, which includes: the ‘Leadership Matters in Person-centred Dementia Care’ programme [accredited by Alzheimer’s Society and Surrey University] and the Registered Managers Award (RMA). In March 2020, I received the opportunity to become a dual-registered manager to continue overseeing Ashlyns in Berkhamsted, in addition to St Lauras.”
