  • "Thank you to all the wonderful staff at St Josephs. You have all helped to make my Mum's life happy over the last year. We are so grateful to all of you and appreciate the love and care you have shown my Mum in these extremely difficult times."

    Family of Resident

  • "Thank you for looking after our Mum so well. Sadly she wasn't with you long, however we appreciate all the care and attention you gave her and we felt confident that she would have settled in and lived happily there."

    Family of Resident

  • "On behalf of [my sister], thank you all so much for your kind and compassionate care over the last three-and-a-half years. As a family, we are just so grateful that we always knew she was being well looked after and we could trust your support and concern for her wellbeing. Without exception, you have all been so warm and friendly, especially when visiting during these difficult times. Thank you again for your love and kindness."

    Sister of Resident

  • "It is hard to believe that Mum has finally left us after being alive for more than 104 years! [And although] it is a great shame that we have not been able to visit Mum because of the restrictions, we acknowledge that you have been acting in the best interest of your residents and staff. We are thankful to you all."

    Son of Resident

  • "I am thinking of you all and just wanted to thank you for the brilliant job you are all doing looking after my Mum and all the other residents - especially as you have all got your own families to look out for. Hopefully everything will soon get back to normal."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "May I congratulate St Josephs on the arrangements made for relatives visiting. I went today and it was great to see my wife again in a well controlled environment. Even for residents with dementia, like my wife, the visit was good and it was great to see her again."

    Husband of Resident

  • "Thank you all for looking after my Dad for the past year. You are an amazing team of lovely people who have turned a tricky time for us into a settled period where we could spend quality time with him - without any stress or worry. Every one of you have made a difference with your caring attitudes and compassion."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "Thank you so much for caring for [Dad] so well. You treated him with compassion and dignity and I will never forget that."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "We would like to express our sincere thanks to you and your staff for the very considerable care and attention that you gave to my Mother whilst she was in your care. In what was a difficult time for us, we could only sit back and marvel at the way you all coped with her slow demise."

    Family of Resident

  • "A few years back, I had an elderly relative at St Josephs, therefore it seemed a natural place to volunteer when I found myself alone on Christmas Day. It was a privilege to spend time with your residents - they made me feel very welcome (and I enjoyed being teased by a couple of ladies with a wicked sense of humour!). So, in short, my Christmas Day was a much better one because of my visit there. Thank you."

    Volunteer

  • "Thank you so much for the loving and patient care you gave our Dad during his time in the home’s ‘Kingfisher’ dementia environment. You made his quality of life and our memories of Dad so much happier over his last few months."

Our Staff

St Josephs Care Home has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“My journey at B&M Care started in 2005 when I accepted the position of Home Manager at St Matthews. Following a storied success, I transferred to St Josephs in 2015 to further develop my skillset as a manager of a home that offers both residential and dementia care. Throughout my career, I have acquired a number of qualifications, including the Registered Managers Award (RMA), as well as completing the ‘Leadership Matters in Person-Centred Dementia Care’ programme delivered in conjunction with Dementia Care Matters and Alzheimer’s Society.”
