  • "I have been in respite care at Montrose, and despite my apprehension, I found it an exceptional place to stay. The carers are lovely, and go out of their way to help and support you - what in my estimation is the most important aspect of care. There are daily activities available which helps with getting to know others, and made my stay that more enjoyable. I would recommend Montrose to anyone."

    Respite Resident

  • "My Mum has had exceptional loving and kind care especially throughout this Covid-19 period and all other times; staff are always so kind and considerate to family, friends and service users alike. I am so glad I chose this home for my Mum. Thank you to all the team at Montrose from the top right to the bottom - they all do a marvellous job. Also, B&M Care always keep their homes beautifully decorated with lovely furnishings."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "I just wanted to say how nice it was to see my Mother yesterday after three months. We both enjoyed the visit very much, and luckily the weather was kind to us. Thank you so much for organising these events."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "I am very comfortable with all the measures put in place to keep residents and relatives safe. We, as a family, appreciate everything the home has done and are very happy that we are able to see Mum in the garden. Not being able to hug her is difficult of course, however, we fully understand the measures and are over the moon to be able to talk to her face-to-face."

    Son of Resident

  • "Thank you so much to all staff for keeping our Mum happy and safe. We really appreciate the sacrifices you have all had to make and we are really grateful."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "I would like to thank you all for the kindness and care you gave to Mum. She has told me of the lovely time she had at the knitting session - and the home's regular outings."

    Daughter of Respite Resident

  • "Thank you all for the wonderful care you provided my Mother. I felt that she was safe and happy with you all. I also want to thank you all for the support you gave me and my family."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "Following the sad passing of our Mother, we would like to say such a very big thank you for all the wonderful care you all gave Mum during her two years at Montrose. It was very important to us that she was happy and content, and with people who would treat her with the respect & dignity she deserved. We also want to thank you for the warm welcome that we always received."

    Family of Resident

  • "I would like to take this opportunity to express our very sincere thanks to every single member of staff at Montrose and not just for the wonderful cake & present you gave to Mum for her birthday, but for the years of love, care and genuine affection you all bestow upon her every day. This is evident in the fact that no matter how large or small the task, these are all carried out with a seemingly limitless amount of patience - no matter what the circumstances."

    Son of Resident

  • "I [would like] to congratulate you on your recent accolade of being one of the top care facilities in the country. I remember when I first visited the home in 2012 when I opened it, I was really impressed and am so pleased to see all [the hard] work is being recognised - you and your staff should be very proud!"

Our Staff

Montrose Care Home has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.

Having started my career within care over a decade ago, on reflection, I would say that care chose me, rather than me choosing care. I started a role that provided care within the community, cultivating a career that enabled me to work within a variety of settings, including dementia and care for older people, as well as nursing, palliative and learning disabilities. In addition to this experience, I hold a degree - Psychology, Counselling and Therapies - and a Level 5 in Management and Leadership. Since joining Montrose Care Home in March 2022, my commitment remains the same as per my previous roles: to uphold exceptional care standards where people are at the heart of everything I do.
