  • "I would like to make you aware of the wonderful care that my mother received during her five-and-a-half years that she was a resident at Milford Lodge. My mum was always an active participant in the many and varied activities that were arranged and would always tell us how much she loved living there. All the staff were wonderful and mum could not have received better care. I cannot praise them enough. I will certainly be recommending Milford Lodge to anyone who needs to find care."

    Son of Resident

  • "We wanted to write to you to express our thanks for the care that our Mum received during her time at Milford Lodge. I am not sure how you recognise employees for going above and beyond, but we wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the care provided by Lindsey and her team since February up until the end of October, when Mum died peacefully at Milford Lodge. We know how difficult Covid has made the work that you and your teams do, and have greatly appreciated the way in which you have responded to the pandemic, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff but also recognising the importance of relatives being able to keep in close contact. We also greatly appreciated the support provided to us in Mum's last few days, which allowed her to stay at Milford Lodge, and avoid being transferred to hospital, which none of us wanted to happen."

    Family of Resident

  • "Mum moved to Milford Lodge in February and it has been a new experience for us. I chose [the home] with the criteria that I would be happy to stay there myself - and I describe it as a ‘Warners’ holiday without the swimming pool. I loved the building, the gardens, the rooms - but above all, the staff."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "No one should suffer [living with a] dementia. The person you knew simply fades away. Yet, for the staff at Milford Lodge, Mum was simply a grand lady who needed looking after. She spent the last two years of her life there, being cared for by a team of people who were unfailingly kind and considerate to her. I am very grateful to you all."

    Son of Resident

  • "There has been such a lot in the press recently about the poor standards of care in residential homes - something we never had to worry about with Mum living at Milford Lodge. There was always a feeling that [everyone] really did care about the folk they were looking after, and whatever Mum could or could not understand, she definitely knew she was cared about. Thank you so much."

    Daughter of Resident

  • "Mother has nothing but praise for the staff who she describes as kind, helpful and efficient. She was handled gently and with dignity at all times. We are very grateful for the care and attention she received and would not hesitate to recommend Milford Lodge in the future."

    Family of Respite Resident

  • "Thank you for all your kindness and for making our stay so pleasant."

Our Staff

Milford Lodge Care Home has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.

Lindsey joined B&M Care in 2014 as the Home Manager of St Catharines, and transferred to Milford Lodge in 2018. Throughout her career at B&M Care, she gained an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care, as well as the ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ programme delivered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. The move from St Catharines to Milford Lodge gave Lindsey the opportunity to develop her skill set and passion for delivering highly personalised dementia care that positively impacts an individual’s day-to-day life.
