Meet the Manager
“I joined B&M Care in 2014 as the Home Manager of St Catharines, and transferred to Milford Lodge Care Home in Hitchin in 2018. Throughout my career at B&M Care, I have gained an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care, as well as the ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ programme delivered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. The move from St Catharines to Milford Lodge gave me the opportunity to develop my skill set and passion for delivering highly personalised dementia care that positively impacts an individual’s day-to-day life.
I am happy to welcome you to our home, where we pride ourselves in providing exceptional care to our elderly residents, in a home from home environment.”

Every resident experiences meaningful occupation, designed around their personal wishes and preferences.
The Engagement Team at Milford Lodge understands the importance of meaningful, person-centred activities that are beneficial for both physical and mental health. Chair yoga classes, games on the ‘Magic Table’, or classic movie nights in their cosy cinema are just a few of their weekly plans.
Every resident, in each B&M home, also has access to The Hideaway – a cosy countryside retreat with extensive grounds, and on-site Reminiscence Museum.

At just seven years old, AJ has already created the sweetest tradition at Milford Lodge. 🧁
Having visited since he was a baby alongside his mum, Devina, AJ now bakes his own thoughtful treats for residents, this week he delivered Toy Story cupcakes dressed as Woody. Quite fitting with Toy Story 5 in cinemas.
More than the delicious cakes, it’s the smiles and energy AJ brings that make every visit so much fun for everyone.
