Situated in a quiet, leafy residential road near the centre of the city of St Albans, Clare Lodge care home is an intimate, mock-Tudor home purpose-built across four floors.

Clare Lodge care home offers the following types of care for an older person: 24-hour long-term residential & low needs dementia care, as well as respite & convalescence care.

As B&M Care continues to navigate through the complexities laid out by the Covid-19 pandemic, the group would like to reassure you that the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and residents remains paramount.

Our Infection Control Assurance is a commitment to minimising the risk of Covid-19 to our existing residents and staff, whilst safely welcoming new admissions into our homes.

In addition to PPE, regular testing and safe admissions, B&M Care has now successfully completed the first phase of the group's vaccination rollout.

These procedures are in place to meet and exceed the requirements of those considering a B&M Care Home for a loved one.

Clare Lodge has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
“I started my career within the care sector as a Care Assistant within a similar care provider as B&M Care. Having developed a genuine passion for delivering highly-personalised care for individuals that have more complex care needs, I moved into a position with a provider that specialised in supported younger people living with learning disabilities. After recognising that I wanted to go back to caring for older people, my career at B&M Care began in 2016 when I was appointed the role of Assistant Manager Clare Lodge. I then was delighted to accept the opportunity of Home Manager in 2017.”
