  • "I'd like to thank you personally for all your love, support and help you gave Mum, myself and the family in the short time she was in your care. It was a very tough decision to have to make - finding a home for her - but knowing she was being looked after in a professional and caring way helped ease the separation."

  • "Thank you for your kindness and care of our Mum and Dad, as well as your help at Mum's funeral - it really means so much!"

Our Staff

Bury Lodge has a select team of experienced care staff who have each undertaken bespoke training to meet the individual needs of the home's residents. The home provides appropriate ratios of staff both day and night, alongside a day-to-day care ethos that delivers highly-personalised care where dignity, freedom and privacy are consistently upheld. With an industry-envied training programme and ongoing support & development, B&M Care's guiding principles are what define our staff within the dementia care sector.
"Having started my B&M Care career at White Plain in Denham, I transferred to Bury Lodge when the home opened in 2016 under my then current role of Deputy Manager. Later that year saw me be appointed to Home Manager to lead a team in line with B&M Care’s over-arching person-centred philosophy. I was lucky enough to undertake B&M Care’s first-ever Management Development Pathway in 2015: an opportunity that developed my skillset to pioneer a distinct approach to care within Beaconsfield. In addition to this, I have completed an NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care and the ‘Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow’ programme in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society."
Lisa Absalom - Home Manager
“Since joining B&M Care in 2008, I worked at White Plains and Ryeview Manor before transferring to Bury Lodge in 2016 as a Team Leader. With ongoing support and development, I was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2017 and have since enjoyed the responsibility of the role. In line with my interest in training and enhancing the home’s day-to-day practice, I have taken on a training element within my managerial position that sees me train new and existing staff in accordance to ‘Moving and Handling’ regulations.”
Valerie Hector - Deputy Manager
