Meet the Manager
“I have worked in the care sector over 10 years, working in different settings of supportive living, domiciliary care and nursing homes. I have a passion for person centred care and positive risk taking, enabling individuals to live life. I have my NVQ Level 5 and I am a Dementia Champion. I was the Care Plan and Safeguarding champion in my previous work place, and in 2023 I was promoted to Home Manager here at Osbourne Court I have a special interest in dementia and how music can enhance memory and improve cognition.

Dementia care is evolving. As people live longer, many come into care with more complex dementia needs that require a higher level of specialist support. At Osbourne Court, our Complex Dementia Care Hub provides a calm, secure and highly specialised environment for people living with advanced or more challenging forms of dementia.
Osbourne Court is purpose-designed to support individuals whose symptoms, behaviours or emotional needs have become too complex to manage in a traditional residential or dementia care setting. Our highly trained team supports residents who may experience significant behavioural changes, heightened anxiety, or complex physical and emotional needs as dementia progresses.
Alongside complex dementia care, Osbourne Court also offers tailored support for enhanced dementia needs and early onset dementia, including for people under the age of 65, ensuring every resident receives care that is truly personalised, compassionate and responsive.

For example, a mother and baby group pays recent visits to the home, with the toddlers bringing joy and laughter to the residents. To make sure all our residents can enjoy the benefits of these events, activities and wellbeing are covered by our all-inclusive fees.
Every resident, in each B&M home, also has access to The Hideaway – a cosy countryside retreat with extensive grounds, and on-site Reminiscence Museum, supporting therapeutic engagement and memory-led experiences for those living with complex dementia.

🏏 There's nothing quite like an afternoon at the cricket… especially when it brings back so many wonderful memories.
Bob recently enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Baldock Town Cricket Club, watching the match from a shady spot with the perfect view of the action. It wasn't long before the stories began to flow, as Bob shared fond memories of his cricketing days, including the special spin he used when bowling. 🏏
The conversation soon turned to cherished memories of Fulham and Hammersmith, and Bob even delighted everyone by recalling some of the Latin he still remembers so beautifully.
Sometimes, it's the simplest afternoons that create the most meaningful moments. Sunshine, good company, shared stories and treasured memories made this a truly special day. 🌹

We really had the weather on our side for a fantastic Open Day celebration at Osbourne Court in Baldock.
Residents, families, friends and the local community joined us in our courtyard area, where the shade gave us the perfect balance on such hot weather we were having.
With Buck’s Fizz, live music, fish and chip cones, plenty of dancing, reconnecting and meeting new people, it was a wonderful afternoon from start to finish.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it so special. 🌹
