The Chadwick Care Home in Hoddesdon has opened a dedicated ‘Rainbow Suite’ to welcome new admissions for the first 14 days of their long-term or short-stay care.
Located on an upper level of the home, the new facility will be used in conjunction with both of The Chadwick’s neighbouring sister homes – St Catharines in Broxbourne and Willowthorpe in Stanstead Abbotts – to allow multiple admissions at any one time.
The Rainbow Suite benefits from a communal lounge and dining space, inclusive of a kitchenette, as well as a number of fully-furnished bedrooms complete with en-suite shower rooms. In addition, each individual will have full access to the home’s lifestyle programme, and the opportunity to participate in regular activities and engagement on both a one-to-one and small group basis.
“The addition of a Rainbow Suite is yet another unique solution to welcoming new residents, whilst best protecting those who already live in the home,” said Rosa Gaiteri, The Chadwick Care Home Manager.
She continued: “The way the facility has been adapted is lovely – it’s like a small community! For me, it’s a wonderful way for friendships to flourish and to take advantage of the special service each individual will receive.”
To coincide with the opening, staff at The Chadwick have produced a short virtual tour of the Rainbow Suite:
The Chadwick's Rainbow Suite reflects B&M Care's Covid Response and Infection Control Assurance policies when admitting new residents. These policies are a group-wide response to best protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of both residents and staff in each of our homes.
