Tara's Retreat Care Home in Sandridge is delighted to officiate the opening of the home's new 17-bed extension.

Adjacent to the village’s high street, the extension has been developed across two levels to present two respective environments that offer both residential and dedicated dementia care.

Designed in-line with B&M Care’s Rose Model of Dementia Care blueprint, each of the 17 bedrooms are complimented by an en-suite shower room, a fully furnished décor, and two further seamless living spaces where residents can socialise and dine in.

“The extension is a welcome addition to an already thriving home, where community and engagement is at the heart of what we do,” said Karen Langley, Tara’s Retreat Care Home Manager.

She continued: “B&M Care has done a tremendous job completing the extension throughout the unprecedented climate. I am delighted that we can finally ‘open’.”

Moving into 2021, the home will continue to under-go an extensive refurbishment that, similar to the extension, will excel in design and person-centred excellence. Highlights will include a cinema, a larger salon, and a new main entrance.
