As a way of thanking those who have generously supported the home as it navigated through the height of the pandemic and into what has been coined “a new normal”, St Lukes in Caversham has since sung its praises as part of a B&M Care first – a thank you song.
Written by Harry Goff – a local entertainer who continues to facilitate music therapy within the home – the song’s lyrics were fronted by both staff and residents as a way of expressing their gratitude for the gifts, donations, and overall appreciation from friends and relatives, as well as local and national suppliers, businesses and organisations.
“The constant and continued support of our amazing relatives, friends, local and national businesses has been invaluable in keeping us going through some very difficult times and hopefully our gratitude and appreciation shines through in our bid to say THANK YOU,” said St Lukes Care Home Manager, Kim Franks.
The video’s closing credits pay notable thanks to those affiliated with the home, as well as Tesco in Emmer Green, St Barnabas Church, Shiplake College, Avon, and Nestle, among many more, including Totum Sport – a sports supplement provider who partnered with B&M Care to launch their all-natural energy solution within the social care sector.
