The end of October saw B&M Care announce the launch of the ‘Golden Rose Awards’ to celebrate and reward staff and excellence across the Group – and since then, seventy-five nominations across the initiative’s three categories have been shortlisted into nine finalists.
These include:
‘Colleague of the Year’
Kylie Talbot (The Lodge – Hemel Hempstead)
Marilyn Scott (Greenhill - Barnet)
Stuart Bowie (Tremona - Watford)
‘Outstanding Contribution’
Debbie Quinn (The Radley - Borehamwood)
Kelly Huxtable (Ashlyns - Berkhamsted)
Matt Ross (Ryeview Manor – High Wycombe)
‘Person-Centred Moment’
Kathleen Gilroy (St Leonards - Aylesbury)
Kris Bean (Willowthorpe – Stanstead Abbotts)
William MacDonald (Clare Lodge – St Albans)
Each of the three award categories looks at recognising an ‘unsung hero’ for how they have positively impacted and inspired a team, as well as for their ongoing commitment to a role and how they have created moments that celebrate an individual’s uniqueness within a B&M Care Home.
The Golden Rose Awards will take place in January 2020 at Ashridge House, Hertfordshire where the winners of each category will be announced.
