heart-icon.png/ What People Say

"I would like to thank each and every one of you for the love and kindness shown to my Mum whilst she was living at Templemore. Her final days, although painful for us all, were made easier to bear by the love and care shown by all of your staff. [She was] genuinely cared for." Son of Resident

"Just wanted to let you know that I had such a happy visit with Dad today. He was sitting in the garden quite contentedly when I arrived, and we had a lovely chat. Honestly, I am over the moon that Dad has settled in so well; he looks so much healthier and is a lot calmer since he has been living with you. But above all, he has told me that he really likes it [at Templemore]." Daughter of Resident

"We would like to thank everyone at Templemore for making our Diamond Wedding Day so memorable. Providing a private room decorated with flowers etc made it even more special. All this confirmed our belief that this must be one of the best care homes in the country." Resident

"On behalf of all of the family and I'm sure, Mum herself, we would like to give you our sincere thanks for the care and devotion whilst she was with you." Family of Resident

"We would like to say a massive thank you for all the care you gave to [Mum] in the 6 months she was with you - and we appreciate all of your amazing support." Daughters of Resident

"I am writing to thank you for looking after my Aunt so well. Before sadly passing away, it was obvious, when I visited, that she was well cared for by all staff at Templemore. Thank you for making her last years as happy as possible." Family of Resident

"We are writing to express our gratitude for the excellent care given to [our Aunt] during her stay with you. She always seemed very happy and contented, well cared for, and in excellent spirits. We are glad to know that she was so well looked after in her last few years." Family of Resident

"It is with heartfelt gratitude that I [say this]. Whilst I was mindful that [my Husband] was impaired by his stroke, there was no gradual transition on my part to prepare for an end. I am truly grateful for your care and attention during his final days and I could not have felt more supported by you as I struggled to grasp what was happening." Wife of Resident

"Thank you all so much for the care and attention you gave to my father. It has made life so much easier knowing that he has been well looked after." Son of Resident

"I would like to thank all the staff and carers at Templemore for the kindness, love & attention given to my husband during his time at the home. It was very comforting to know he was happy there and well looked after." Wife of Resident

"I would to say, I have been involved with Templemore for about 3 years now with visiting [one of the home's residents] at least once a week. I have been very impressed with Templemore in several ways: the staff are wonderful, caring and so, so patient. The home is extremely well run and there always seems to be plenty of entertainment for those that want it. It is clean, bright and well-furnished, and always smells clean!" Visitor

"Over the years I have met quite a few of you and would like to say a heart-felt 'thank you' for all your care for my Mum. I do realise she wasn't one of your easiest residents, but you all cared for her so very well. You are all absolute angels and are worth your weight in gold..." Daughter of Resident

"When my Mother was a resident at Templemore, she took part in the 'Music for Memory' project. We recorded a variety of songs that were linked with her past, of which had a calming effect on her. As Mum is no longer a resident at Templemore, we weren't able to continue with the project, but hopefully, existing residents are still benefitting from it." Daughter of Resident

"[We] would like to express our very sincere thanks and appreciation for the care and attention Templemore gave to my Mother during the past three years. All of the staff we have met (and had any dealings with) have always been caring, professional and helpful. We know Mother came to regard many of them as part of her family. We were particularly grateful and appreciative to see some of the staff at Mother's funeral. We have no reservation in recommending Templemore to anyone in need of such facilities." Son of Resident

"Many thanks [to the home's Activities Facilitators] for all the fun activities you have provided over the last 2 years." Family of Resident

"I am writing to thank you all at Templemore, especially on Cedars 1, for the care and kindness you have all given to Mum over the last 3 years. And further thanks for the support you have given to us as a family. I am really grateful that Mum was able to remain with you and be cared for by people who were her 'friends'." Daughter of Resident

"Thank you for the love and care you provided [resident] - as a family, we all very much appreciated it." Family of Resident

"Thank you all for looking after Mum whilst we were away, and for taking care of her after her falls." Family of Respite Resident

"Thank you to everyone involved in organising the tea party for my Mum and Dad. She was genuinely surprised as just thought Dad was coming to visit. Thanks to all your hard work." Family of Resident

"Thank you for the care you gave my Auntie Dorothy. I know you did your best to make her life as happy as possible." Family of Resident

"Thank you for everything that you have done for my mum. She has enjoyed the 5 years that she has been with you - it's just a pity that she has to move as she was very happy at the home." Family of Resident

"Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. I have learnt so much and met some amazing people." Former Member of Staff

"Just a note to thank you all for my care at Templemore. It was very much appreciated in all you did for me. Nothing was too much trouble for me." Resident

"To each and every one of you - thank you so much for all the care and kindness shown to [my Mother] during her 3 years with you. I am very grateful to you all and wish you all the best for the future." Daughter of Resident

"My thanks to all of you for the care that you provided for my mother. She made friends amongst the residents and viewed many of the staff as friends." Son of Resident

"Thank you for all your hard work and the care that you gave my mother." Son of Resident

"Joyce really loved it at Templemore and it gave me a peace of mind." Daughter of Resident

"Mum could not stop telling me how much she enjoyed her recent trip out to the shops, she got a CD and had tea and lemon drizzle cake and also about the BBQ you had in the grounds and how she helped with the raffle tickets. I want to say what a great job all the staff do there and also how wonderful the home is. So much work has been done and it is beautiful. I am glad Mum is there, the staff are lovely and more importantly my Mum is happy there." Daughter of Resident

"My mother was a resident in the dementia areas and was happy as she could be in the final year of her life.In my opinion the home is extremely friendly, very clean and provides excellent care for loved ones. It wasn't easy for Mum at times but all the staff always kept us informed when problems arose. Nothing is perfect but if we had a problem it was addressed very quickly. Dementia is a terrible condition but the staff are very well trained to cope well with all the problems that ensue from it. In particular, Janette the overall care manager is excellent at her job, is always there to talk and help. The manager, although not involved with the care, handles the managing of the home with professionalism. Mother passed away in Templemore and the carers couldn't have been kinder. I am very happy to recommend this home as choosing a home for loved ones is such a difficult task." Family of Resident

"Arthur lived at Templemore and following a spell of pneumonia was placed on the end of life care pathway and Templemore accepted him back into their care to see him and us through to the end which took 5 days. It is important that all agencies involved in either vetting or commissioning adult care services know that Templemore did an exemplary job - Dad was cared for with respect and tenderness. He was visited by many members of staff who had come to know him well and who had formed an affection for him. This was wonderful for both him and his family in his last few days. We should very much like this testimonial to be recorded as part of the file on Templemore. We are profoundly grateful for all the care and attention shown to our father during his time at Templemore." Family of Resident

"The kindness shown to Mum and us was exemplary. A difficult time made a little easier. The help you gave to Mum and us as a family made the move for Mum much easier. We were able to deal with things knowing that she was warm, comfortable and happy." Family of Resident

"Thank you for all the care and the kindness that you gave to Mum during the time that she was with you. We know how happy this time was for her." Daughter of Resident
