"I would like to thank everyone at St Lukes for making me feel so welcome when I came in for my work experience placement - and for the effort everyone put in. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as it gave me a valuable insight into the different parts of this care home and how you run." Work Placement Student

"Please accept our sincerest thanks and gratitude for all the help and practical guidance you have offered our learners. We appreciate the opportunity you have given to them to experience the world of work. Your contribution to our learners' personal development is apparent in the way they have developed their professional behaviour and confidence." Reading College

"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to feedback how grateful I am to St Lukes for finding a place for my Mother. And what is more - your flexibility is astonishing, and I was doubly grateful when you decided that the Lilac Unit was not for her, and were able to move her to a lovely, freshly decorated room. The whole process of arriving and getting things sorted, including the paperwork and financial arrangements, could not have been made easier." Daughter of Resident

"Thank you all so much for everything you did for our dear Dad to make his last months so comfortable, cosy and stress-free. He obviously felt very safe and peaceful, and very content with you. We were SO glad to find St Lukes." Daughter of Resident

"Please accept our sincerest thanks and gratitude for all the help and practical guidance you have offered our learners. We appreciate the opportunity you have given them to experience the world of work. Your contribution to our learners’ personal development is apparent in the way they have developed their professional behaviour and confidence. I hope we can continue to work together to offer learners the best possible learning experience." University of Reading

"We have been so grateful for the gentle care and compassion you showed to Dad for the 6 months he was at St Lukes. So many times we have blessed the day a bed became available for him, and it was an immeasurable relief to know that he was safe, comfortable and content." Daughter of Resident

"Thanks to Caroline for showing us around on Saturday. My Husband and I got a great feeling about the [home] and [it] would be top of our list. We have seen eight care homes so far and have discounted almost all. I think Mum would benefit greatly from the interaction with others and enjoy the activities on offer." Family of Prospective Resident

"I wanted to tell you that Kasia's [Staff Member] help has been invaluable over the last few months. I had been having such a hard time visiting mum and was emotionally at rock bottom, not knowing where to turn to. Kasia has supported mum and I during my visits and handled us with sincere care and understanding." Daughter of Resident

"Time has come to part ways. I had a lovely time working with you all. Thank you so much for all of your support! I appreciate the experience I gained as it has helped me understand key aspects of working life. Everyone in here is a big family and I'm happy that I was able to be a part of it." Work Experience Staff Member

"Thank you so much for providing me with the opportunity to come and work with you! I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much." Work Experience Staff Member

"Home from Home. It's good to feel safe. I have been a resident at St. Lukes for 18 months, in room number 9 which is kept clean and comfortable. Our five star menu is varied to suit all tastes and an excellent meal is served 3 times a day, plus snacks. Our hard working staff look after us well, everyone is friendly and quick in attending to every whim." Resident

"I have been encouraged in my way of life not only by the companionship of fellow residents but also by the knowledgeable understanding of many members of staff. In September 2004 I came to St. Lukes where my wife was already well cared for. The Management were able to provide me with a large room in which I could not only live comfortably and securely but also set up modern computer equipment. With this I could keep in touch with the scientific world in which i had spent most of my working life. I was therefore able to complete for publication, with world-wide colleagues, what I am content to consider my final book. The management also helped me install the most modern television equipment so as to keep in touch with a wider world of music and the arts and to learn new skills." Resident

"The whole building has been transformed into Christmas and everyone has been part of it. We have been amazed at the wonderful days of enjoyment produced for us. Thank you to everyone just for being here and for sharing happiness with each other." Resident
