"My Mum was 89 and this was the first year she has not been at home with us for her own party, so the staff decorated a table outside beautifully and made such a huge effort to make her and us feel it was a real celebration. The sun shone, we had a really lovely picnic outside and Mum had a really lovely time. Her advanced dementia makes life very challenging for her, but we did everything we could to make it a memory to cherish." Daughter of Resident

"Mum moved to Milford Lodge in February and it has been a new experience for us. I chose [the home] with the criteria that I would be happy to stay there myself and I describe it as a ‘Warner’s’ holiday without the swimming pool. I loved the building, the gardens, the rooms - but above all, the staff." Daughter of Resident

"There has been such a lot in the press recently about the poor standards of care in residential homes - something we never had to worry about with Mum. There was always a feeling that [everyone] really did care about the folk they were looking after, and whatever Mum could or could not understand, she definitely knew she was cared about. Thank you so much." Daughter of Resident

"No one should suffer [living with] dementia. The person you knew simply fades away. Yet, for the staff at Milford Lodge, Mum was simply a grand lady who needed looking after. She spent the last 20 months of her life there, being cared for by a team of people who were unfailingly kind and considerate to her. I am very grateful to you all." Son of Resident

"[We] would like to thank you all for the help and care you gave my Mother over the last two and a half years - especially in the days after her fall. I know she was very happy at Milford Lodge and that she appreciated all the care and attention, as well as watching all the activity that was going on (even if she couldn't always participate)." Son of Resident

"Thank you again for looking after me in the last four weeks. I feel rested and a lot better." Respite Resident

"My father John thoroughly enjoyed his afternoon with you today [at our Memory Cafe] and will definitely be back!" Daughter of Visitor

"Thanks and appreciation for all the care and attention that not only Mum, but myself also, have received from Sue and her staff at Milford Lodge. they have been most helpful and accommodating." Daughter of Respite Resident

"Mother has nothing but praise for the staff who she describes as kind, helpful and efficient. She was handled gently and with dignity at all times. We are very grateful for the care and attention she received and would not hesitate to recommend Milford Lodge in the future." Family of Respite Resident

"Thank you for your tender hearted support." Family of Resident

"Thank you for all your kindness and for making our stay so pleasant." Respite Couple
