Chesham Bois Manor Care Home is set within an idyllic eight acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside in the historic town of Chesham. The converted flint stone manor house offers residential clients exclusive period features and the has been tastefully extended to provide a purpose designed environment for residents living with a dementia.

The Care We Offer

Chesham Bois Manor Care Home provides care for elderly residents.  We offer several types of stay depending on the level of support required - from long-term residential care to short stay and respite breaks. The home has two environments for residents depending on the level of care required. Old House provides residential care whilst Woodlands is a safe, comfortable environment that specialises in the care of older people living with a dementia.

Chesham Bois Manor has a select team of experienced staff, who have relevant and appropriate training to meet the needs of the residents. The emphasis of our care delivery is on individually planned person centred care, which builds upon a person's strengths and constantly seeks to improve their quality of life. Freedom and privacy are respectfully maintained, yet help is always on hand. The team at Chesham won 'Care Team of the Year' at the 2010 National Care Awards.

Maureen

Maureen Overend

Home Manager

Maureen has been with B&M Care since 2006. She was Deputy Manager at St Josephs Care Home before taking on the role of Manager at Chesham Bois in 2008. She has over 30 years' experience in the care industry and has gained her registered managers award. She has also completed the Tomorrow is Another Day training which is accredited to the Alzheimer's Society as well as the 'Leadership Matters in Person Centred Dementia Care' programme in conjunction with Dementia Care Matters and the Alzheimer's Society, accredited by Surrey University.

Patricia Andrews

Deputy Manager

Trish joined B&M Care in 1980 and has spent her entire career working at Chesham Bois Manor. Trish became Deputy Manager in 1998. She has completed the Tomorrow is Another Day training from the Alzheimer's Society and is one of B&M Care's trainers responsible for delivering this course to staff. She has gained her NVQ3 as well as the registered managers award. Trish was a finalist in the 2010 National Care Awards in the category of 'Lifetime Achievement in Care'.

Alice Palmer

Activities & Lifestyle Facilitator

Alice has several years experience as a Lifestyle and Activities Facilitator. She has completed several dementia courses and brings her expertise in crafts, cooking and reminiscence to stimulate and engage the residents. She plans and organises all the special events at Chesham Bois Manor throughout the year. Above all she aims to have fun!
Jackie

Jackie Bounds

Activities & Lifestyle Facilitator

Jackie has worked as a Lifestyle and Activities Facilitator since 2005 at Chesham Bois Manor and has attended several dementia courses. She has developed personalised quiz questions to engage the residents and uses a variety of team games. Jackie regularly plans theme Ladies and Men's Hours to create opportunities for discussion. She aims to promote feelings of wellbeing and social interaction amongst the residents.
