5th Anniversary Birthday Party
MP Mark Prisk opened Willowthorpe Care Home on 24th June 2005. He came back 5 yrs later on 21st May to help the residents and staff celebrate Willowthorpe's 5th Birthday. The Garden Party, organised by Activity Facilitator, Kay Ives, was attended by district councillors and guests from Herts Older People teams and family and friends of relatives and staff. Guests enjoyed the sunshine with Pims cocktails and a fabulous buffet in the riverside gardens at Willowthorpe.
Doreen Weekes (89yrs young) was Willowthorpe's very first resident in 2005 and is happily still living with us. Mark Prisk presented her with a bouquet of flowers. Doreen's daughter Joanna praised Willowthorpe's staff team and Manager, Janice Pittom for their hard work and dedication.
