Meals, Dining and lounge areas
Food and drink play an important part in the social life of a home. There is a main dining room and Bluebell lounge/dining room on the ground floor and Primrose lounge/dining room on the lower ground floor and residents are encouraged to choose where they sit in the dining rooms. Three meals are provided each day, there is a four weekly menu (including a pictorial menu) for lunch and evening meal and residents are always offered a choice of meals. Menus are reviewed seasonally with input from residents. Special dietary and therapeutic diets are arranged and staff are available to provide discreet, sensitive and individual help with eating and drinking where required. Snacks and hot and cold drinks are available at all times. Special occassions are always marked as well as festivals of all denominations. We try to provide a welcoming environment in the dining rooms and ensure that meals are pleasant and relaxed occasions providing opportunities for social interaction as well as nourishment. Family dining nights are organised and visitors will always be offered refreshments. Tulip and Rose Lounges and Bluebell Lounge/dining room are located on the ground floor.

Hair Salon
The hair stylist visits the home twice a week for appointments.

There is a lovely warm sunny conservatory that leads off into a courtyard area with seating - all easily accessible from the Bluebell lounge and dining area

Actitivies
The Lodge has its very own activities room and the activities organiser offers a range of appropriate, meaningful activities including a full calendar of events and visits: movement to music, signing, crafts, games, massage, knitting, cooking, story telling/poetry, reminiscence activities, quizzes and outings.
For those residents who choose not to participate in planned activities, there are TV, radio, DVD and computer facilities available. Additionally a small library of books and current newspapers - which can be obtained in large print. Wherever possible we try to support specific additional interests that a resident may wish to engage in.
