The care we offer
Depending on an individual's specific requirements, Tara's Retreat offers differing levels of care within different areas of the home. Meadows provides residential care. Hill View and The Paddocks offers care to those with dementia related needs, including individual and organised activities. Specialist residential care is provided in surroundings specifically designed for residents with high levels of dependency. We offer long stay and short stay respite breaks for older people. The homes is accredited with Hertfordshire County Council for their high standards in dementia care.

Tara's Retreat is a purpose built home that has been tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard to provide accommodation in three neighbourhoods. Hill View and The Paddocks open directly onto the private, secure gardens including shady patio areas and walkways and Meadows is on the first floor with lift and stair lift access. Residents have a choice of lounge and dining areas throughout the home. There is a hair salon, activities room, training room and assisted bath and shower rooms have also been incorporated. There is easy access for residents to the landscaped gardens and walkways as well as shady, private patios and gazebos.

Life at Tara's Retreat is very much home from home and an active lifestyle is encouraged, with friends and relatives always welcome. The activities organisers arrange a varied social calendar of activities and entertainment in groups and on a one to one basis. We ensure that each of our residents receive meaningful occupation tailored to who they are. The home has transport available for trips into the community and there is a weekly activities programme with regular entertainment.
