We can't get to the sea - oh yes you can....! We decided to hold a 'Beach Day' for all our residents who love the seaside but can no longer get there. It's an idea that Kim has wanted organise for ages. We got 10 huge bags of sand delivered to make a real beach which was surrounded by paddling pools and chairs. Residents loved sitting with their feet in the water or in the sand as it brought back many happy memories. We also decorated the garden shed to turn it into an Ice Cream Hut and had a real Punch & Judy show. The residents had all made 'Kiss Me Quick' hats to wear as it was a sunny afternoon and we also served cockles & whelks for those who fancied them. It was a great afternoon.
