Residents, Relatives, friends and staff at St.Leonards Care Home all had something to celebrate on Saturday 3rd July; the Anniversary of the official opening of the home 10 years ago. With over 50 visitors, St. Leonards celebrated in style, with excellent entertainment provided by "Somethin' Else" and "Tudor Folk", lots of fun activities, fabulous food and cracking company. David Lidington MP joined the celebration and cut the cake with Home Manager Teresa Warren. He also presented flowers to Mrs Dorothy Chapman who came to live in the home in May 2000, and co-incidently celebrated her 93rd birthday on the day. David Lidington was returning to the home after 10 years, having officially opened St.Leonards in 2000. The home was also very pleased to welcome Aylesbury Town Mayor, Mr Graham Webster, who appeared very much at home chatting to residents, staff and visitors. Finally, a most welcome visitor, the sun honoured everyone with its presence. The sun has managed to elude St. Leonards on summer events over the past couple of years but made up for it on Saturday, making this special event everything that St. Leonards had hoped for.
