Nicky has worked for B&M Care since 2003, first as a Carer, then as a Senior. More recently Nicky returned to St Josephs to work as a Senior Carer and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2011. She has achieved NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care, and completed a Level 2 Accredited course in the Safe Handling of Medicines. In September 2011 she will be starting a PTLLS course so that she will be able to train other staff within the home. Nicky has also completed the Alzheimer's Society, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow course on Dementia Care, and has a Level 2 Accredited certificate in Dementia Awareness.
Maggie Lucas Deputy Manager
Maggie joined B&M Care in 2006 as a member of the care team at Tremona Care Home in Watford. Maggie worked her way up to senior, then team leader and finally Deputy Manager. In April 2009 she was appointed as Deputy Manager at The Lodge. Maggie transferred to St Josephs in November 2011. She has achieved her Registered Managers Award (RMA) and has NVQ IV and has taken part in the Alzheimer's Society course Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Maggie is currently working towards Level 6 Diploma in Management and Leadership
Sue McHugh Administrator
Sue has been working at St Josephs since April 2002. Before taking up the post as Administrator in February 2010, she was a Senior Carer, having achieved NVQ2 and NVQ3. Sue is enjoying her new post and the challenges it brings with it, whilst still working as part of the team.
Ayari Lifestyle & Activities Facilitator
Ayari started working as the Lifestyle and Activity Facilitator at St Josephs in October 2008. She loves her job, as she uses her educational background in art and psychology, and she considers it to be very rewarding. Ayari has recently completed a national recognised qualification; Provision of Activities for Older People.
