"Esther is settling remarkably well into Lakeside. She is beginning to make some new friends.

She has a lovely room overlooking allotments. She has been playing darts(!), doing small exercises, has borrowed a book from the mobile library and has a daily paper delivered to her room. They seem to be making a big effort to get them doing things rather than just sit in a chair all day. The staff spend time talking to them individually and I think they have been trying to explain to her why she has to stay there.

Jane, the Manager, is very focussed, hard working and runs it well. Given that she will have 60 residents and 100 staff, she needs to have a firm grip on the place.

All in all, very successful so far and I would recommend it"
